Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the retail industry? Our prestigious retail client, based in the heart of the City of London, is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Accurately process a high volume of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, handling inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Month-End Close: Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable,
  • Industry Experience: Preferably within the retail sector (but not essential)
  • Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and processing.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions promptly.
  • Team Player: A collaborative team player who can also work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
