NES Fircroft is working with a Crop Protection Solutions Company who is looking to recruit two Process Engineer to join their Process Technology Active Ingredient (PTAI) in Grangemouth. Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre has four Active Ingredient plants and one Formulation Plant making agricultural products for global distribution. As a Process Engineer, within PTAI, you would have the opportunity to work in a multi-discipline team supporting large scale fine chemical manufacturing plants within an upper tier COMAH site.

The focus of this role will, initially, be supporting the Active Ingredient plants with day-to-day troubleshooting, process optimisation, and capital improvement projects from initial feasibility studies right through to commissioning. This gives a unique opportunity for process engineers, looking to develop their skills, to apply theoretical concepts in a real environment with tangible benefit.

The company provide an IChemE accredited training scheme to develop engineers to chartered status.

Qualifications
  • Must have degree level education in Chemical or Process Engineering, 1st class/2-1 Master’s degree.
  • Chartered Member or working towards - IChemE (for UK only).
  • Preferably, experience in a Fine Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Design or Production environment.
  • Knowledge of process risk assessment systems (e.g. HAZOP etc.), and relevant HSE standards (Safety Instrument Systems, Pressure Relief, DSEAR, etc).
  • Knowledge of process engineering fundamentals, ideally, with practical experience.
