The Company:   We are working with one of the North West's best-known Contractors who successfully deliver high profile, new build projects for a varied client base across the North West of England valued up to £60 Million.   They are renowned for their excellent training and development programme and their policy of giving their team the opportunity to take on significant levels of responsibility at relatively early stages in their career.

The vast majority of their projects come from repeat business from an enviable client base.
  Their supply chain include some of the best subcontractors in the North West as they pay them on time & treat them well.
  They often work to double digit margins.
The Role:   They are now in a position to add to their Commercial team due to a number of recently secured projects in Manchester & Lancashire.   Typical projects include commercial, industrial, multi-storey residential, heritage and leisure projects.
  They have a significant £30 Million new build leisure project due to start on site this summer and they ideally want an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the coming months to be able to help take the project through preconstruction and on to site through to handover.
  They require a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will work closely with the rest of the Commercial team on site (a Project QS and an experienced Assistant QS) and with the operations and technical teams to help reach a successful commercial outcome on the project.
  General responsibilities will include the following;   Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the company procedures and processes, Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and managing risks and opportunities, Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports for review with the Commercial Manager, Good working knowledge of and application of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement, Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account, Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts, To work closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures,  Maintain a close working relationship with the client and design team to assist in the success of the project and Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs whilst achieving high standards of quality and health and safety.   You:   Ideally, they would like to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor who has previously led the commercial elements of £Multi-Million building projects ready to take on additional responsibility.
  You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
  You will be IT literate
  Very contractually aware with good knowledge of Construction Contracts.
