We are currently recruiting a dedicated Delicatessen/Customer Service Assistant to join a team in a bustling food environment.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, with a keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.

Immediate start available with a rate equivalent to £27,495 basic annual salary and a day shift working pattern (09:00-17:30) of 4 weekdays +1 weekend day, with the option to work less days to suit lifestyle. Transport will be essential due to the rural location and limited public transport options. 

Duties:

• Assist and serve customers in selecting deli products (including meats, cheeses and pies) and provide recomendations.
• prepare and package items for customers.
• Ensure food hygiene and safety procedures are met.
• Operate deli equipment and associated items.
• Maintain cleanliness and customer service levels.
• Cash handling.
• Manage time effectively.

Experience:

• Previous experience within a restaurant/service or kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with food hygiene and food presentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role is open to UK based residents with the right to work full time only.
