Fabulous opportunity for a talented Commercial Manager

Prominent building main contractor with an impressive turnover of £220 million. Based in the heart of Central London, project portfolio includes some of the most prestigious and high-profile construction projects in the city. Their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability has established them as a leader in the industry.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join their team. The ideal Commercial Manager will have a strong background in commercial management within the construction industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.

Commercial Manager’s key responsibilities

  • Oversee all commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
  • The Commercial Manager will be expected to lead a team of quantity surveyors and other commercial staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic input to project planning and execution.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale building projects.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management software).
