Our team at Brookstreet Social Care are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support across a variety of our services in the Northeast, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

We have many different services ranging from supporting Adults and children from many different backgrounds and walks of life.

  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Education
  • Learning difficulties
  • Autism

We have locations and different services across the Northeast.

Responsibilities

  • Care and Support:
    • Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, ensuring physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
    • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and leisure activities.
  • Safeguarding and Safety:
    • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of all service users.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including care plans, incident reports, and daily logs. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated and consistent care.
  • Professional Development:
    • Engage in continuous professional development, attending relevant training and keeping up to date with best practices in childcare and support.
    • Brookstreet Social Care are also able to provide specialised on-going training with our internal training specialist team.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • DBS on the update service for Adults and or Children
  • Experience working with service users in a residential or respite care setting.
  • Understanding the needs of service users with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Driving licence
