About Us

Hightown is a charitable housing association operating principally in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire. We believe everyone should have a home and the support they need, so our aim is to build new homes and to provide excellent housing and support.

We currently manage over 8,000 homes and employ over 1,000 full and part time staff from our head office in Hemel Hempstead. We have an annual turnover of £120 million and a development programme that will deliver over 400 new affordable homes each year.

This is an exciting time to join Hightown and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced housing professional to lead Hightown’s Income Recovery Team on a 14 hour per week, job share basis (1-year fixed term).

About the role;

  • Manage the team, developing procedures, in line with best practice, and working arrangements for the efficient and effective delivery of service,
  • Monitor the performance of the team, setting targets to minimise rent loss,
  • Regularly produce reports on the performance of the team,
  • Prepare, monitor and control budgets,
  • Benchmark services in terms of quality and cost, ensuring value for money is obtained.

You will have.

  • Experience in a credit control/Income collection environment,
  • In depth knowledge of welfare benefits and welfare reform,
  • Ability to effectively manage, supervise and motivate staff.
