Warehouse Operative

Our well-known client based in Baldock are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their team on a Temporary basis. This is a Part-Time position, with Overtime available, with a view of an Immediate start.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 4:30am-8:30am
Pay rate: £11.50 per hour
Main purpose as a Warehouse Operative:
Assist with the morning freight sort operation, ensuring all parcels are dispatched with the correct drivers whilst maintaining Health and Safety procedures.
To report to:
AM Warehouse Team Leader
Main tasks as a Warehouse Operative:
- Ensure trunk vehicles are unloaded in a safe manner
- Scan all inbound freight and sort into correct delivery rounds in time for drivers arrival
- Assist in the proactive management of vulnerable parcels
- Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are strictly adhered t0
Skills needed as a Warehouse Operative:
- Good organisational skills
- Reliable and dependable
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Team player
