Job Title:  Tail Lift Fitter

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Tail Lift Fitter from a manufacturing / engineering environment.
 

We have worked with this client for several years; they offer a first class working environment and the opportunity to work in the Manufacturing sector.

Tail Lift Fitter – Main Duties:

• Installation and fitting of tail lifts to vehicles to a high standard of workmanship:
• Reading and understanding drawings
• Reflect drawing requirement in fitting process (cut-outs, ancillary parts mounting positions etc)
• Mounting tail lifts to correct position
• Electrical wiring installation
• Hydraulic connection
• Testing of tail lifts
• Documentation of test results (certification)
• Problem solving, fault finding and rectification.
• Mounting and connection of auxiliary lights
• Safe working practices
• High standard of housekeeping

They require a Tail Lift Fitter with a minimum 5 years’ experience.

Qualifications / Skills/ Experience:

• Mechanical fitting knowledge within an Engineering or Commercial Vehicle environment
• Fitting experience with any DEL, D’Hollandia, or Palfinger tail lifts
• Experience in fitting any column, cantilever and/or tuckaway tail lifts.
• Safe and efficient tool handling
• Appropriate hydraulic knowledge
• Appropriate electrical knowledge
• Welding and fabrication

Salary / Hourly Rates:

Monday to Friday:
07.00 - 15.30 plus some overtime.
Pay rate will depend on experience

Starting rate will be around £12 to £13 rising up to £14.24 after training
