Position: Tool Setter – Injection Moulding

Package: £35,000 – £40,000 pa + 21 days holidays rising to 25 with service plus stats, Pension scheme, Annual company bonus.

Location: Altham

Hours: 6-2, 2-10 rotating shift pattern (Mon-Fri)

Summary: We are looking for an Injection Moulding Tool Setter with experience with Robot equipment to contribute to the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in tool loading, Injection Moulding machine setting and basic tool, and equipment maintenance with a focus on precision and quality.

Environment:  24/7 operation, medium to heavy production environment. Huge investment over the last 12mths including new state of the art machinery, (Light & Heavy) industrial and high-speed manufacturing environment and warehouse facility. Recently refurbished modern offices as well.

Main Duties

Tool Setup and Maintenance:

• Install and set up tools, and equipment for production runs.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on tools and machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the production team to address any tooling or production issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Equipment Operation:

• Utilize injection moulding machines and Robot equipment to achieve efficient production outcomes.
• Operate, program, and adjust machines as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct regular inspections of tools, production output parts and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues related to tooling and make necessary adjustments.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production team, engineers, and maintenance personnel to optimize tooling processes and resolve any challenges.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an injection moulding Tool Setter
• Familiarity with Injection moulding precision tools, robots and equipment used in manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Experience:

• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training.
• Experience in an injection moulding department as a setter/technician, with a focus on Romi and Sepro equipment, is advantageous but not essential.
