Head of Accounting Policy - US listed FS - City of London - c.£130-150k + 20% bonus

An exclusive opportunity to join an extremely profitable global FS firm.

Following the current incumbent being promoted to Group FC - after having led their recent IPO - this high-growth business in the City is now looking for their replacement.

In less than 20 years this UK founded multinational business has grown to $1.5Bn revenue and reported 120% growth in profit in their latest results, with almost 90% growth in net revenue, leading to heavy investment and growth within Finance. There is also never a dull moment due to several high-profile acquisitions and more in the pipeline due to a strong cash position.

The fantastic accounting advisory role will be based at the Group HQ, and cover all things accounting policy & technical accounting related, taking ownership of the accounting policies of the consolidated Group and will include acquisitions/disposal accounting, assistance on new transactions, some impairments assessments, etc.

This role will business partner the Group FC, Deputy CFO and Group CFO as well as various Heads of other Finance teams - creating a strong profile across the business - guiding Senior Management across Group Finance, Product Control, Capital Markets and FP&A.

Experience needed to be successful in the role:

  • Accountancy qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA with several years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge off accounting principles, with knowledge of IFRS 9 in particular.
  • A confident communicator - able to challenge and guide at c-suite level.
