**Role Overview:**
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves conducting rigorous testing and assessment of products, identifying defects, and maintaining detailed records to support continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Conduct Product Tests and Assessments:**
- Perform tests and assessments on products in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Use various techniques and instruments to verify that products meet specifications and function as intended.
- In a food production setting, test products and packaging both in the lab and on the production floor to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.

**Identify Product Defects:**
- Detect and identify product defects or potential issues.
- Determine corrective actions, which may include reprocessing products or pulling them from production if they do not meet quality standards.
- Analyse lab or usability test results to identify and address defects, ensuring they do not recur.

**Record and Report Issues:**
- Maintain detailed records of product defects and manufacturing issues encountered during testing and assessment.
- Use these records to identify and eliminate recurring problems, ensuring accountability and aiding in error reporting.
- Provide detailed reports to supervisors or plant managers to inform decisions about manufacturing processes and practices.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in quality control or a related field, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use testing equipment and interpret results accurately.
- Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.

**Preferred Skills:**

- Familiarity with food safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience in an industrial, warehouse, or food production setting.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
