SEN Teacher to Deaf Students

Job Description:
Dunbar Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team. In a specialist school for deaf children. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality education and support tailored to the needs of our students, fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Use innovative teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to support student development.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and reports.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
- Training in safeguarding children.
- Experience and/or qualification in teaching deaf children.
- Knowledge and skills in British Sign Language (BSL) or a commitment to work towards a minimum of BSL Level 3.
