Job Overview: 

You will take overall responsibility of staff and residents in the absence of the Home Manager. You will ensure a stimulated and caring environment is maintained at all times and that care plans are completed and cover all aspects of care.  You will assist in the recruitment processes and ensure attendance of both mandatory and required training courses by home staff.  In addition, any other duties that may arise from time to time. Flexibility is required to ensure Home has senior cover at evenings/weekends.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant. The employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.

Experience / Qualification:     

NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification

At least 2 years’ experience as care team manager/team leader or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills and a team player.
