Position: Area Manager
Location: Yorkshire - Leeds and approx 50 mile radius
Type: Full-Time
Salary: £37-42.5K DOE
Reports To: Directors

Role Overview

The Area Manager will be responsible for the operational management and leadership of multiple care services within a designated area. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving business growth, and maintaining high standards of care. The Area Manager will work closely with service managers, staff, clients, and their families to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple care services within the designated area.
  • Leadership: Provide strong leadership and support to service managers, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all care services meet or exceed regulatory standards (e.g., CQC) and company policies.
  • BD: Identify opportunities for growth and development within the area, driving business performance and client satisfaction.
  • Financials: Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and ensure all services comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Staff Development: Oversee the recruitment, training, and continuous professional development of staff.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring their needs are met and their feedback is addressed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of services, implementing improvements as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role within the care sector, preferably as an Area Manager or a Registered Manager wanting the next step up
  • Education: Relevant qualifications in health and social care management (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care) or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and support a diverse team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the care sector.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the designated area as required.
  • Empathy: A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals with complex needs.
