Job Purpose:

The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Technician to join a large team of 56 engineers, working collaboratively to ensure the site’s optimal performance at a site in Fawley, Southampton. The successful candidate will undertake installations, planned, reactive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

Duties of an Electrical Technician:

• Uphold and embrace the employer's Health and Safety requirements.
• Actively engage in the ExxonMobil Loss Prevention System (LPS) and integrate its requirements into daily activities.
• Carry out reactive electrical works to a high-quality standard, compliant with statutory regulations.
• Conduct electrical-related planned maintenance activities according to CMMS work plans.
• Undertake minor electrical installation work following regulatory requirements.
• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical systems and accurately complete associated documentation.
• Undertake PAT (Portable Appliance Testing).
• Perform isolations and accurately complete associated documentation.
• Specify materials and spare parts for reactive or planned maintenance electrical-related activities.
• Work within the requirements of the employer's and ExxonMobil's Permit to Work systems.
• Utilize MEWPs and other access equipment for working at height.
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency programs to promote best practice solutions.
• Engage in training and development programs.

Criteria of an Electrical Technician:

• Qualified Electrician with at least 5 years of electrical maintenance experience.
• City & Guilds 2361 Part 2 Electrical Installation and Theory.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Computer literate in MS Office applications.

Desirable:

• City & Guilds 2377 Inspection and Testing of Portable Appliances.
• PASMA certification.
• City & Guilds 2391/1 & 2 Test and Inspection or equivalent.
• IPAF or equivalent licence for MEWP operation.
• Qualifications or experience in Fire Alarm Maintenance or HVAC.
• Experience working on industrial sites.
