£30,000/annum

Recruitment Solutions are currently working with an industry leading business. Due to continued growth we are looking for a number of M&E Operatives / Site Operatives (Mechanical works). Being based from the head office in Wallingford, you would work with a lead engineer in the surrounding counties, executing mechanical works on borehole pumps and ancillary equipment. This includes the removal and reinstallation of pumps and rising mains, as well as the cleaning and acidifying of boreholes. Training will be given on all aspects of the role. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removal of borehole pumps
  • Cleaning and acidifying of the borehole pumps using specialist equipment
  • Re-installation of borehole pumps in a safe manner. 
  • Test installations for operational efficiency and make necessary adjustments
  • Mechanical maintenance on all borehole pumps and relevant equipment
  • Any other associated tasks

Candidate Expectations:

  • Technical certification in mechanical engineering is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. 
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence 

Working Days, Hours & Salary:

  • Monday - Friday
  • Approx 48 hours per week
  • £30,000 per year
  • You may be asked to work at a weekend in the case of an emergency
  • Overtime may be available
