Our global client are a leading building manufacturing company based in the Deeside area, committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. As they continue to expand operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager (Chemical background) to join the team.



Role Overview:

As an Engineering Manager - (Chemical background), you will be responsible for overseeing the chemical engineering processes within their building systems manufacturing facilities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our chemical processes and equipment. You will manage a team of chemical engineers and technicians, and collaborate with other departments to ensure the highest levels of product quality and production efficiency.



Key Responsibilities:

* Manage, train, and develop a team of chemical engineers and technicians
* Oversee the operation of chemical processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
* Optimise and improve chemical processes to increase productivity and reduce waste
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient production processes
* Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for chemical processes and equipment
* Monitor and analyse process data to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
* Review and manage budgets, forecasts, and projects related to chemical engineering
* Stay current with industry developments and trends in chemical engineering and make recommendations for adoption or improvement of processes and equipment



Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
* Extensive experience in a chemical engineering role, preferably in a building manufacturing environment
* Proven leadership and management skills
* Strong technical knowledge of chemical engineering processes and equipment
* Experience with project management, budgeting, and forecasting
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to chemical engineering
* Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
