This is a great opportunity for a Health and Safety Coordinator with Construction experience to join a well-established and growing, family-friendly Construction business. Covering the Leeds, Barnsley, Sheffield corridor and surrounding area.

You will receive a salary circa £40,000+ (negotiable depending on experience), a company vehicle (or use your own vehicle with mileage allowance if preferred), laptop, mobile phone and desk space you’d expect from a well-established business.

Health and Safety Coordinator duties will include:

·Implementing & managing legislative changes into policies and methods of work

·Updating and improving Health & Safety policy as required

·Generic and specific RAMS for all work carried out

·Monitoring and auditing sites with a resultant report to Site managers and Directors

·Updating and implementing training matrix & finding cost effective providers

·Managing re-claim of CITB levy & compiling training plan

·Overseeing safe systems of work and sourcing beneficial (safe/time/cost) alternatives

·Completion of pre-qualification documents

·Annual updating of SSIP’s such as CHAS, SMAS etc

·Setting up site files and documentation for new sites

·Oversight of plant and lifting equipment testing and registers

·Monitoring, oversight of apprentices

·Working closely with contracts manager and site mangers to be prepared for upcoming works

The successful applicant will:

·Have an appropriate Health & Safety qualification

·Be an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator

·Have Construction H&S experience

·Be able to explain H&S requirements in a straightforward & persuasive manner

·Be Team-spirited with a positive attitude and dedication

·Possess all the usual technology /IT skills to carry out your duties

·Be well presented and possess a friendly, engaging manner

·Hold a full drivers licence with no more than 3 points
