My Client in Luton is looking for a Audit Senior or Semi senior to join their team. They have a great team culture and benefits available. They are open to someone who is qualified to part qualified.
Main Duties/Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare and complete management accounts accurately and on time for manager review.
- Handle complex assignments for manager review.
- Oversee and support junior staff on simpler tasks, ensuring quality work.
- Review annual accounts prepared by juniors.
- Finalize accounts, ensuring all sections are complete and points needing clarification are highlighted for manager review.
- Prepare planning documents for effective audits.
- Act as the senior representative on-site, maintaining professional client relationships.
- Plan and oversee junior staff effectively.
- Review and complete audit files to standard for manager review, assisting in planning, field work, and completion stages.
- Handle complex business tax computations, including corporation tax.
- Prepare personal tax returns for manager review, providing proactive advice to clients on limiting tax liabilities within legal boundaries.
- Build and maintain client relationships based on trust, respect, and understanding.
- Seek and act on client feedback, communicating professionally by letter, phone, and face-to-face.
- Manage own time and oversee juniors.
- Conduct annual appraisals of direct reports, ensuring they are thorough, fair, and documented.
- Participate actively in the personal and professional development of direct reports.
Experience
- Experienced in timely and efficient financial reporting and auditing, following prescribed systems and procedures, and preparing files for manager/director review.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Good time management
- Problem-solving skills
- Experience with Xero, Sage
