ITS (Construction Professionals South LTD) are working with a highly regarded and well-established Construction company who specialise in delivering design and build, construction and fit out projects across Healthcare, Education, Commercial and Housing projects.
- Manage and ensure team are complying with project specification.
- Track and report at weekly client update meetings
- Planning of resources, including materials, labour, and sub-contractors
- Liaise with Site Safety Officer to ensure all standards are maintained.
- Liaise with the client on KPI development and implementation.
- Manage and maintain all H&S requirements.
- Produce tenders for new projects.
- Produce accurate take offs for projects.
- Produce and update of procurement schedules for all projects.
- Prepare the required documents to issue to subcontractors to enable them to tender effectively for works packages.
- Assist in the financial appraisal of new opportunities.
- Work closely with architects and other professionals.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for proposed construction projects, including material and labour costs
- Reviewing project plans and specifications, and identifying any potential issues or cost savings opportunities
- Coordinating with project managers and other members of the team to gather information and ensure that estimates are accurate and complete.
- Researching and sourcing materials and labour costs.
- Identifying any potential risks or contingencies in the project and including these in the estimate
- Assisting with the preparation of bids and proposals
- Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
- Experience in an estimating role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials and methods
- Experience with cost estimating software.
- Experience working with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders in the construction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
