Due to a period of impressive growth, they are looking to bolster their in-house team of lighting design engineers so as to continue to provide quick and accurate Relux-based lighting schemes for their growing client base. The business does offer other technologies around the energy efficiency sector too, so personal development opportunities will be readily available.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Lighting Designer. You will be responsible for providing specification detail, presenting quotes & proposals alongside the lighting design team. You should be able to consider incorporating lighting control, work with architectural type lighting, and interior designers. Your day-to-day tasks will involve creating and implementing lighting designs, collaborating with colleagues and clients alike, including architects & developers to ensure effective lighting solutions for various project types.

Qualifications

• Atleast a small amount of experience in lighting design and/or controls.
• Knowledge of interior design principles is preferable
• Proficiency in relevant software such as Relux, AutoCAD, and DIALux.
• Some understanding of lighting technology and industry trend
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and architects
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in lighting design or related fields
• Experience in the electrical or lighting industry would be a plus

Hours are Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, Fri 9am-4pm based from the company's headquarters in Stretford, Manchester. They have onsite parking and are based close to public transport network.
