gap healthcare are currently recruiting for a new and exciting opportunity on behalf of our clients based in Bretton for a Horticultural Support Worker, helping adults with learning disabilities thrive in horticulture, woodland management, Enjoy gardening, wood crafts, and outdoor work while making a meaningful impact.

Salary: £11.90 per hour plus a £1000 retention bonus in the first 2 years

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, occasional weekends/evenings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support adults with learning disabilities in horticulture and garden maintenance.
  • Assist in fulfilling gardening contracts.
  • Engage in various activities: mowing, strimming, pruning, making hanging baskets, propagating, and growing fruit and veg.
  • Work creatively with bonsai, terrariums, living frames, and more.
  • Provide physical and emotional support, including personal care and healthcare needs.

Requirements:

  • Caring and compassionate attitude
  • Full UK driving licence essential; minibus addition desirable
  • No prior experience needed; training provided
