(Hybrid Working, office 3 days, home 2 days) / MEP Building Services

 £30k - £50k dependent on experience

This role is to join specialist a team of building services consulting engineers, they have an excellent reputation for providing tailored innovative and sustainable solutions to their established client base.  They are involved in a wide range of projects including schools, office builds, retail, councils and super prime luxury residential.

This sustainability consultant role will join a dedicated sustainability team working alongside mechanical, electrical and public health engineers. You will experience a wide range of project sectors, with services installations from £100,000 to over £(phone number removed).

Passionate about reducing the consumption of resources in their projects, this consultancy has a distinct advantage in that they have the ability to engineer sustainable solutions and implement these at site level through to building operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working alongside the Project Managers to establish the Energy and Sustainability requirements.
  • Production of Sustainability / Energy Calculations
  • Work alongside project architects to agree thermal requirements and glazing strategies.
  • Input of the sustainability strategy at each RIBA Stage to ensure that the principal set are being delivered.
  • Collation of Building Control evidence in relation to Sustainability items e.g. Energy strategies and CO2 calculations.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of emerging technologies through continued personal development.

Experience Required

  • The minimum entry requirement for this role is to hold a strong academic background in environmental building services or mechanical degree with a sustainability masters.

The following experience would be highly beneficial.

  • Experience of executing and delivering sustainability projects.
  • Ability in assessing thermal modelling and dynamic studies, knowledge of IES, Part L, TM52, TM59.
