Our client, a leading company in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Principal/Senior Hardware Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Rochester. This is a critical role involving the design, development and delivery of hardware solutions for cutting-edge defence projects. The position is initially for a 12-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and testing hardware components for defence systems
- Collaborating with software and systems engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions
- Providing technical expertise throughout the hardware development lifecycle
- Conducting detailed analysis, simulation, and verification of hardware designs
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Preparing technical documentation and reports
- Supporting hardware integration and troubleshooting activities
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in hardware engineering within the defence sector
- Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies
