Masterclass Education are working with a local education and care setting near South Cambridgeshire. This setting excels at providing support for young adults with sever and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. They offer bespoke services for the young people they are supporting, including different theraputic interventions and education opportunities.

This role requires no previous experience, and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop their skills or get into the sector.

The role involves:

  • Supporting individuals with their medical needs
  • Personal care including toileting, dressing and support with personal hygiene
  • Promoting independence wherever possible
  • Safeguarding the young people you are supporting
  • Understanding that every young person needs their own individualised support

A suitable candidate will have:

  • Willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
  • Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Resilient with a robust and positive nature
  • Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults.
  • Ability to work on a rota pattern which will include working every other weekend
