About this Role:

Assistant Site Manager required to work with the team on an £15m new build school project in Aldershot, Hampshire. The project is due to commence in late July for an 18 months plus duration.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing site-based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.

This Assistant Site Manager role is with the regional office of a busy Tier 1 main contractor with a good pipeline of work in the area including projects in Southampton, Portsmouth, and the wider Hampshire area.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The contractor is a busy national Tier 1 main contractor with a £55m-65m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, defence, local authority, blue light, commercial and student accommodation sectors.

Typical patch covers Hampshire and Dorset.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years + of experience as a Trainee/Assistant Site Manager.

You will be highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating good technical, organisational, man-management and communication skills.

Ideally from a construction management, engineering or trades background, you will be well organised and proactive.

You will have developed a planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach and a want to learn.

You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
