From initial consultation to final installation, we design, construct, finish and upholster a wide range of staple and bespoke furniture items for the hospitality industry. In addition, we are adept at providing quality artwork to meet the diversity of our clients’ needs.

Position overview:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with fellow staff and clients, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard of quality. Responsibilities:

  1. Project Coordination: Communicate with clients/ Trading Spaces team to source appropriate materials/ goods and develop quotations. Coordinate project progress, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  2. Client Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand project requirements. Produce visuals, provide updates, and address any concerns or feedback. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  3. Resources Allocation: Work closely with team members, producing work schedules so that resources can be allocated effectively. Identify goods/ materials required for each project, ensuring that these are ordered in line with works schedules. Monitor goods/ materials availability and make adjustments as required.
  4. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure all deliverables meet the required standards and align with client expectations. Review creative assets for accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  5. Budget Management: Implement budget planning and tracking; monitoring project expenses and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternatives.
  6. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address any issues that may arise throughout the project, ensuring smooth execution.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including briefs, quotations, visuals, purchase orders, works schedules, workshop specifications and fitting plans. Ensure completed project details are communicated for invoicing.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on current/ emerging industry trends and best practice. Identify opportunities for process improvement, propose innovative ideas and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
  9. On-Site Activities: Travel to client meetings, site visits and for installation of final scheme. It is anticipated that 20% of work will be site-based, with some overnight stays required.

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Pro-active problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Valid UK driver’s licence

Desirable:

  • Prior experience of project management, preferably within a creative environment
  • Knowledge of design and creative process
  • Ability to read plans and provide specifications to the appropriate scale.
