Assistant Design Manager 

Office: Manchester City Centre 

I am working with one of the North Wests most reputable Main Contractors that are known for their delivery in the Building sector. The business, are entering a very busy period and have a lot of projects on site and new ones, due to start shortly adding further, to the Manchester skyline. 

They are delivering multiple schemes such as; New Offices, Student Accomodation Blocks, Hotels and Industrial Units across the Manchester region. With project values, ranging from £10m to £100m. Due to the new projects starting, they have identified a requirement to strengthen their 'Design Management' department. 

• Acting as liason between the design team and the construction team to facilitate smooth communication and workflows 
• Track and document design changes and ensure correct approvals are obtained 
• Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and documents to ensure they're accurate and meet project requirements 
• Identify potential design issues or discrepencies 
• Work closely with the site team 
• Populate and update the project IRS schedule 
• Providing support to the design team with administrative tasks, organising meetings, managing correspsondance and coordinating design reviews 

You will be working closely, with a Senior Design Manager who will help support and guide you throughout your career. The company offer training and support with further qualifcations.
