We require skilled Mechanical Fitters for an ongoing contract working on marine vessels for the defence industry.
These roles offer immediate opportunities with the potential for long-term employment dependant on your quality performance.
These roles ares ideal for Mechanical fitters living within the Merseyside, Wirral and surrounding areas.
Applicants should be City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) with a background working on heavy machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, stripping, and assembly of bearings, gearboxes, generators, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
- Pass an online trade test to assess skills / ability.
- Competent using general hand / power tools.
- Adhere to the company's strict Drugs and Alcohol policy.
Benefits
- Offering up to 60 hours per week
- £19.22 PAYE for the first 38 hrs.
- Overtime paid at time and half for weekdays and Saturdays. Double time for Sundays / Bank holidays.
- Holiday pay accrued from Day 1 as well as pension auto-enrollment,
- Gain experience working on high quality defence contracts.
