Joinery Project Manager

In your role as Project Manager you will, In no particular order:
Attend project interviews
Produce tender documentation such as tender programmes and method statements
Produce project protocol documentation and keep accurate records
Meet with the design and technical team to contribute and understand fully the brief, client requirements and the designers intent
Production of Construction Phase Plans
Arrange and chair subcontractor and client meetings
Record meeting minutes
Review and approval of all drawings to ensure accurate before issuing to client team
Manage the project commercials on a daily basis
Assessment of sub-contractor packages
Negotiating with sub-contractors to get the best prices on project packages
Coordination of packages throughout project
Development of project programme from tender programme to fully functioning project programme
Identify variations to contract
Compile variation costs and calculate to be submitted to the client for approval
Compile Extension of Time claims
Work closely with internal production department to plan works required on projects
Ensure specification compliance of all build items
Managing the Site team / site manager
Regular site visits to assess progress and liaise closely with site teams
Collation of site files and site related documentation
Organise the production of O&M Manuals and quality check before issuance.
Participate in post project reviews
As Project Manager with Unusual Projects you will need:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Respect for confidentiality, sound judgement and decision making skills
Represent Unusual projects at client and site meetings
Ability to undertake site work both in the UK and Abroad
Ability to read detailed drawings and plans
The ability to solve problems and make decisions using your own initiative
Be efficient, detail and quality minded, hardworking, flexible and responsible with a positive working attitude.
Commercially minded throughout the project.
Be a team player – support all departments in a collaborative manner
Ability to work to programme and deadlines
A full UK driving licence
Working Hours
0830 – 1730 Monday to Friday (40 pw)
Core Hours 0900 – 1600
Breaks 1030 & 1500 Paid (15 mins)
1230 Unpaid (30 mins)
Holiday
Year One – 22 Days
Year Two – 25 Days (After one full year of service)
Year Six – 28 Days (After Five full years of service)
