Job Description:

Join our small team to implement Network Rail systems and procedures, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality, safe, and environmentally responsible approaches to design, construction, and other technical activities. This role involves close collaboration with Network Rail, clients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer projects to meet Network Rail standards and specifications, complying with Railway Group and Network Rail company standards, formal specifications, and procedures.
  • Utilize relevant techniques and procedures for risk assessment and manage the environmental aspects of projects in line with Network Rail’s environmental policy.
  • Provide expert project management advice for all construction activities, including site supervision.
  • Conduct reviews of design and construction activities in collaboration with clients.

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive experience in lineside civil engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the rail industry.
  • Track Monitoring / Surveying experience beneficial.
  • Membership in a relevant professional institution.
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of the requirements for independent assessment of work and risk-based safety justifications for engineering proposals.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Proven experience in building efficient working relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
