Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a National Manufacturer in the key supply chain to the building sector. The company are looking for a maintenance team lead to work in their talented engineering team.
Job Role:
To ensure that the factory and machinery used for producing new and existing materials and goods operate at maximum efficiency and output. This encompasses total preventive maintenance, overseeing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and CNC equipment, as well as managing people and handling budgetary and cost reporting.
Typical Duties will involve:
- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and equipment.
- Assist in efficiently managing maintenance operations.
- Oversee maintenance projects.
- Ensure the safety of team members and those affected by maintenance activities.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Document all work carried out using the equipment's CMMS system.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts.
- Conduct risk assessments for processes and tasks within the department.
- Collaborate with the team and other department members to develop effective maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality departments to maintain the highest build quality after any intervention and throughout the equipment's lifespan.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, ensuring a smooth workflow and maximum output.
Desirable experience
- NVQ Level 3
- Mechanical, electrical or software background
- High volume manufacturing
- Experience of leadership
- Health and Safety legislation
- CNC machinery knowledge advantageous
