*£60K per annum*

*9 day working fortnight - every other Friday off, same pay*

The role

A you an experienced Building Surveyor looking for a new role? An exciting opportunity is available to work for a Housing Association who specialise in providing retired living and supported accommodation properties.

As well an an attractive salary up to £60k, you will also beneift from a 9 day working fortnight, with every other Friday off at no reduction in pay / holiday allowance

Key Duties:

  • As a Building Surveyor, you will provide professional surveying and technical support contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of the Asset Management strategy.
  • You will deliver Housing 21's technical service that provides effective capital investment, cyclical, statutory maintenance services, to time and budget, in line with legislation, Housing 21 policy, capital programme and strategic objectives.
  • You will also be responsible to perform the role of Building Safety Manager in accordance with the Building Safety Bill / Act.

Key Skills and experience:

  • Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in a housing association, private practice, local authority, or similar
  • Full contract administration responsibilities of a range of technical and complex major works projects; including preparing tender documentation, cost analysis and budgetary control, site management, supervising contractors, quality control and certification
  • Robust understanding of current health and safety legislation, CDM (including Principal Designer experience) and comprehensive knowledge of other building related statutory obligations
  • Robust knowledge and experience of Building Safety and Compliance good practice and statutory requirements
  • Degree or HND in a construction related discipline or relevant experience
