Production Line Setter – temp-to-perm

£13.48 - £15.75 per hour

Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-11am

Working for an award-winning international company who have their UK headquarters in Speke, this is a temp-to-perm role working as a Production Line Setter. Working as part of a team of 25, with 5 Production Operatives on each line, the Production Line Setter will be responsible for ensuring the line runs smoothly, safely and to production targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:-

  • Responsible for keeping the line clean and tidy, equipment maintained and preventative measures used to ensure continual availability of equipment
  • Ensure work instructions and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Responsible for removing tooling, auditing and completing machine tooling cleans
  • Ensuring that product quality is being maintained and monitored, control checks are carried out and any faulty product is quarantined
  • Responsible for highlighting maintenance issues and breakdowns
  • Maintaining accurate records for production information and ensuring an effective handover from shift to shift
  • Carrying out risk assessments prior to work and any actual/potential hazards are minimised and reported

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-

  • Experienced in setting high speed machinery is essential

·Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery and standard operating procedures

  • Sound mechanical aptitude 
  • A trade qualification in Engineering, Electrical or Automotive would be beneficial
  • High attention to detail and ability to accurately record information
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
