Senior Financial Support Consultant

£32,00 per annum

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Financial Support Consultant for our client who specialise within Financial Services / Mortgage Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for confidentially negotiating payment arrangements and finding alternative solutions for customers in order to minimise debts.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Supporting customers face to face and on the phone with any queries relating to their accounts and arrears
• Speaking with customers to identify the root causes of arrears and suggesting a plan of action to clear debt
• Reconciling new arrears cases, ensuring accuracy and updating spreadsheet information by suggested deadlines
• Amending mortgage accounts as necessary ensuring information is accurately loaded on the mortgage service system
• Identifying accounts to be considered for litigation, prepare pre litigation checklist and refer for sign off
• Overseeing the preparation and issue of formal demands, pre enforcement security reviews and Law of Property Act Instructions, escalating where necessary
• Raise charges, debit accounts and send out routine correspondence as appropriate and necessary
• Act as team coach, taking responsibility for the development of team members
• Responsible for monitoring and distributing workloads ensuring urgent tasks are prioritised across the operation and departmental SLAs are achieved.
• Ensure system notes are up to date reflecting any recent interaction, dialogue or correspondence sent to borrowers
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements for mortgage arrears with particular emphasis on achieving fair customer outcomes
