About the role
Our client is a large earth works contractor and we are looking for an experience Works Manger with a earth moving and muck shifting background.
What you'll be doing
As a Works Manager you will:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful completion of the construction programme, meeting or exceeding all contractual obligations
- Monitor delivery of the project, identifying risk and opportunities and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery
- Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols
- Manage and develop the supervisory and engineering team, and lead project steering groups/cross discipline action groups, as required
Who we're looking for
You will:
- Have a practical understanding of construction techniques and detailing
- Be experienced in the management of large earth woks operations.
- Be highly numerate, with strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge
- Have strong leadership and management skills, with a collaborative leadership style
- Have a CSCS Card, and must be SMSTS qualified
This a permanent position£50k to £60K Pickup or allowance,fuel card, bonus, lodge.
