Salary: £40,000 - £44,500
  
A long-standing SEN school in Southampton has a new exciting opening for a qualified Teacher to plan and deliver IT lessons to their students. Whilst previous experience working in a SEN school would be desirable, it is not essential.
  
The position is set to start in the Autumn Term 2024 (September). The establishment is a mixed 7-19 school who pride themselves on providing high-level teaching and educational development for SEND Students. Each year they help hundreds of aspiring minds develop the skills they need to take on the world, with their pupils going on to achieve amazing things.
  
  
What this position will entail:
  • Preparing and delivering IT lessons to students
  • Providing support and encouragement to aid students’ progression
  • Working with children with special educational needs (eg. ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism)
  • Participating in safeguarding initiatives
  • Helping to maintain IT classroom equipment
  
Experience they’d love to see:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in IT or Computer Science
  • Previous experience working as an IT Teacher
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable
