Technical Accountant

Vivid are currently looking for a Technical Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave for a Borough Council in the Northwest.
This would be a relatively BAU role. The incumbent is due to go on leave at the beginning of August, so they're ideally looking for a mid-to-late July start to allow for a handover, though they could cope with a slightly later start date if necessary.
The role would involve preparation of the Statement of Accounts, dealing with central government returns, and contributing to yearend and closedown.
They're happy to offer the role fully remote, though if you're local to the Northwest would appreciate occasional office visits. They're looking at offering an initial 9-month contract, with potential for a further 3-month extension depending on the return date of the incumbent.
