This is an exciting time to join our 14 – 16 Provision. We are looking to recruit a fantastic Student Support Worker to join our team in Direct Entry and make a real difference to our students.

Student Support Worker
Direct Entry 14-16
Permanent vacancy - 37 hours per week / 40 weeks per year
£21,382 pro rata (£
19,421 per annum)

Our new Student Support Worker will provide support, motivation and guidance to help students overcome obstacles they face in their lives to help them build a better future for themselves. Individuals who feel that they can take on this role should be able to demonstrate a passion for working with and supporting young people with a range of personal, social and emotional challenges.

Student Support Worker main duties:

  • Act as an advocate and support students within your cohort
  • Work closely with students who have an EHCP
  • Support in lessons and tutorials to enhance students cultural capital
  • Provide outstanding learner support that is tailored to the needs of our students
  • Working closely with Teaching staff to identify individual student needs
  • Encouraging learners and helping them to achieve their qualifications
  • Promote positive behaviour, attendance and respect
     

Having experience working in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential. All applicants must be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment, where learners are supported to personalise and self-direct their own learning.
