Interim Finance Manager

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a leading manufacturing business based in Greater Manchester as they look to recruit an interim finance manager for an initial 6 month contract
This role will support the finance function across the different sites taking ownership of the month end process, flash reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations as the business continues to growth.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with a proven background across hands on management accounting experience, strong knowledge of intercompany and the ability to work as part of a growing team

This role will support the finance function across the different sites taking ownership of the month end process, flash reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations as the business continues to growth.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for timely closing of ledgers at month end, posting month end journals and keeping full Balance Sheet reconciliations up to date for all entities.
- Reconcile intercompany balances with all counterparties at month ends ensuring invoices or journals booked in to reconcile all intercompany transactions.
- Prepare management accounts for each entity with commentary on variances against budget/ forecast.
- Prepare and submit VAT & Intrastat returns
- Oversee transactional finance on a day to day basis ensuring AP, AR and Banking transactions are completed/ reconciled on a daily basis.
- ensuring compliance and timely submissions and payments.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to group accounting policies across all entities.
- Provide support to group auditors on year end audit by providing supporting schedules to auditors and addressing any audit queries.
- Support with annual group insurance renewals by collating all information requested and dealing with queries from insurance brokers.
- Support with projects to improve financial reporting processes across the group.
