Decommissioning Site Manager

Our client, a leading organisation, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Decommissioning Site Manager to join their team. As a Decommissioning Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the onsite delivery of decommissioning projects, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, and overseeing onsite staff and suppliers.

Please note: This role is a field-based positions and requires the successful candidate to work away from Monday to Friday each week, in locations UK wide.

Job Type: Permanent

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: From £40k DOE

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage Health & Safety, onsite staff and suppliers along with the onsite delivery of decommissioning projects, including equipment coordination and adherence to relevant processes and procedures.
  • Liaise with project managers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate haulage requirements and ensure the timely supply of necessary resources.
  • Submit accurate and timely site paperwork, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and landlords, fostering collaborative working partnerships.
  • Monitor and manage staffing levels, escalating any issues as necessary.
  • Oversee the correct use and maintenance of company tools and equipment.
  • Ensure the inactive status of network equipment before commencing isolation or removal.
  • Ensure the acquisition of necessary permits and licences.

What you'll need:

  • To be a qualified Health & Safety practitioner, with relevant certifications such as SMSTS and First Aid at Work.
  • Previous experience in managing teams, with strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using MS Office tools.
  • Flexibility in working hours and a willingness to travel.
  • Five GCSEs, Level C and above, including English and Mathematics. A Level or equivalent in two subjects.
