What Will the role involve?

Bethell currently have an exciting opportunity for a MEICA Supervisor, and will be responsible for allocated projects and site activities for our Waste Water framework projects. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects and all project-related design, construction, commissioning, and handover activities as well as programme, budget, and commercial accountabilities.

In this role you will provide leadership and guidance to allocated projects and project teams contributing to project time, cost, programme and safety while understanding and in agreement with the client’s project requirements. Act as a key link in the project team with a prime focus on project success and performance to the highest standard. You will be part of an integral team bringing skills and experience, working closely with the Civils & MEICA teams, to meet the project requirements in a safe, time and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

As our MEICA Supervisor you will develop customer links to understand their business objectives and their scheme solution requirements. You will take ownership and accountability of the technical appropriateness and compliance for project solutions delivered by Bethell, while ensuring that all engineering outputs provided are in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation, documented Business Processes, Quality Management Systems & best practice. You will work with local project/change teams to ensure consistency of project delivery approach, and look to work closely with senior management to build and sustain capacity and capability within the project team to deliver the programme workstream effectively and efficiently. Ultimately you will possess the experience to supervise MEICA Projects and the Project team, with responsibilities for the management and execution of all project-related activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years in the civil engineering industry.

• Site experience of wastewater networks and with time spent working within a Contractor’s Design environment.

• HNC/HND in Civil Engineering

• Qualification in Temporary Works evaluation

• Familiar with United Utilities Standards, processes and procedures.

• Has preferably undertaken a similar role in a medium-sized civil engineering business
