Maintenance Engineer (mechanical or electrical)

12 Hour Shifts – Days and nights only 4 on 4 off

£52,000 plus  pension, free parking yearly bonus and family days out

First class opportunity to join a prestige manufacturing facility based near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire  who supply into major blue-chip retailers.  We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer  (mechanical or electrical) to drive forward continuous improvements and develop and upgrade existing machinery. 

Key Responsibilities:

Responding to and resolving breakdowns throughout a busy high volume manufacturing site.

Supporting the preventative maintenance programme.

Maximising efficiency and minimising machine downtime.

Ensuring engineering tasks are completed by adherence to H&S and environmental regulations and industry best practice.

Conducting maintenance checks, completing quality audits and paperwork.

Diagnosing faults on a board range of PLC control systems and modifications.

Pursuing continuous improvement projects.

Experience:

Time Served Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Proven work experience within a high-volume manufacturing facility is preferred, if not working in a time critical environment is essential.

Knowledge of PLC programming and Electrical Wiring Regulations would be an advantage.

Experience of working with automated machinery.
