Your new company is a global Engineering Business within the Defence Manufacturing Sector. They are a world-renowned leader in their manufacturing processes and a key partner to numerous blue-chip organisations. They are known for their commitment to quality and innovation within engineering and have numerous sites & offices across the globe. Due to an increase in their order books, they are looking to build up the team with a Welding Technician as they continue to win work and expand their operations.

Your new role
Within your new role you will be supporting the welding coordination team in enhancing the welding quality management system. You will be expected to set standards by helping develop WPS and ensuring welder training requirements/qualifications are maintained. Lastly, you will also be providing proactive support and guidance to the manufacturing teams to assure the welding standards are adhered to.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, it is essential you have:

• Experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of ISO 3834
• To be 'CSWIP 3.0' qualified
• A firm understanding of 'MIG/MAG & TIG' processes
  
  

Advantageous requirements would also include:

• Registration with the welding institute (TWI)
• CSWIP 3.1 qualified
• IWS / EWS qualified or willing to progress to this level
• 5 years experience in a similar role
