Key Responsibilities

• Assume ownership of category strategy and planning for high value and critical category spend area
• Build / lead a high performing category team
• Lead on strategic supplier relationship management to ensure optimal value and service
• Manage and maximise financial performance of category including forecasting, budgeting and achieving targets
• Collaborate with other business functions to position the business as thought leaders in the market
• Contribute to wider business ESG & sustainability goals
  
  

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven Procurement and Category Management experience
• Excellent commercial accumen
• Proven leadership and mangement skills
• Strong analytical skills with ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Honed stakeholder engagement skills
• Ideally an exposure to construction / buildling materials sector and understanding of contract forms such as JCT / NEC
