Job Opportunity: Site Agent
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £60,000 p/a plus package
 
Join a leading construction company in the UK as we seek an experienced Site Agent or Sub Agent to strengthen our Northern Team based in Rotherham. Your initial assignment will involve a critical flood alleviation scheme.
 
Key Responsibilities:

·Team Management: Lead site staff, operatives, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
·Project Documentation: Prepare method statements, hazard risk assessments, and project management plans.
·Budget Monitoring: Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
·Work Programming: Develop and monitor work schedules to meet project timelines.
·Design Coordination: Oversee design coordination efforts for seamless project execution.
·Subcontractor Engagement: Effectively assess and engage subcontractors to maintain high standards.
·Community Engagement: Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary to ensure community support.
·Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, and environmental policies and company procedures.
·Contract Administration: Understand and manage contract changes to maintain project integrity.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
 
·Experience: Proven experience as a Site Agent in the UK civil sector, with extensive experience in NEC contracts and major contractor projects such as earthworks, drainage, structures, and flood defenses.
·Education: Relevant industry qualifications (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent).
·Certifications: Current SMSTS qualification, appropriate CSCS card, Temporary Works Coordinator, and Cranes Appointed Person. First Aid at Work qualification is a plus.
·Competencies: Strong ability to maintain and monitor works against a programme and budget, compile feasibility reports, and ensure compliance with current legislation and safety documentation.
·Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
