Our client is a leading manufacturer in North Dublin, committed to excellence in production and innovation with a strong global presence. 

The business are seeking a Head of Infrastructure to lead their IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will manage a team of five, including remote team members, and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, continuous service improvement, and change management processes. This role requires a candidate with a broad skill set in IT infrastructure, including O365, and ideally a proven track record in a large multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Management:

    • Lead and manage a team of 5 IT professionals, including remote team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
    • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
  • IT Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
    • Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and services.
    • Manage server environments, network infrastructure, and cloud services, particularly O365.
  • Continuous Service Improvement:

    • Implement and manage continuous service improvement initiatives.
    • Identify areas for improvement and drive projects to enhance IT service delivery.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure service performance.
  • Change Management:

    • Own and manage the IT change management process.
    • Ensure all changes are well-documented, reviewed, and implemented with minimal disruption.
    • Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:

    • Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience:
      • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
      • Proven experience in a large manufacturing company or multi-site environment is highly desirable.
      • Ideally a technical background covering on-prem systems, networks, security and the Microsoft eco system
  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in IT infrastructure technologies (servers, networks, cloud computing).
    • Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and continuous service improvement methodologies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bonus Points:

    • Experience in managing IT infrastructure for a manufacturing company or similar
    • Familiarity with industry-specific software and technologies.
    • Experience with automation and integration technologies
