Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Bradford
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 p.a. depending on experience + Overtime + Company benefits
Role
My client is a leading manufacturer of specialist products for multiple industries, including construction. They are now searching for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join their team.
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be responsible for optimising the production process by applying advanced engineering and technology principles within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities as a Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Evaluate and optimise mechanical performance across components, devices, and machines.
- Ensure equipment safety, reliability, and efficiency through maintenance and modifications.
- Conduct test procedures, offering technical guidance where necessary.
- Recommend and implement enhancements for production machinery.
- Oversee the commissioning process for plant, machinery, and systems.
- Maintain compliance with British (BS), European (EN), and other standards, alongside company health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Requirements as the Multi-Skilled Engineer:
- Preferred qualifications include HNC, NVQ, or equivalent in engineering
- Strong technical skills with extensive knowledge and the ability to apply it to practical challenges
- Awareness of health and safety practices with the ability to perform well under pressure
- Effective oral and written communication skills, confident in dealing with various stakeholders
- Excellent teamworking abilities and strong organisational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to new technologies
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving faults, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and lean manufacturing principles.
