Support Worker

Location: The Bungalow, Wickford, SS11 8QW
Salary: £11.44 per hour + 25% weekend work enhancement
Contract: Full and Part time Day positions available (shift times 7am to 2.30pm / 2.30pm to 10pm) and part time night positions available (shift times are 10pm to 7.15am)

Experience in working with individuals with disabilities is preferred, but we are willing to provide training and mentorship to newcomers in the sector. A full driving license is advantageous but not essential.

As our Support Worker you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the individual in participating in social, recreational, and leisure activities that promote engagement and well-being.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while ensuring the individual's dignity and privacy are respected.
  • Administering medications and provide health monitoring to ensure the individual's physical health needs are met.
  • Collaborating with the individual's family, healthcare providers, and other support professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided, progress towards goals, and any changes in the individual's needs or preferences.
